I’m Martin, a writer, educator, and lifelong creative learning to live with more intention and depth.

For over two decades, I taught literature, writing, and debate in both high schools and universities. Outside the classroom, I built a parallel creative life: photographing portraits, everyday moments, and New York’s Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway theatre scenes. Storytelling has always been the thread, whether on stage, on the page, or behind the lens.

Today, my work lives at the intersection of memory, becoming, and emotional truth. I’m currently developing a body of creative writing based on lived experience, including a longform story drawn from my early life. Most of all, I write to connect with others who are rebuilding, reimagining, or beginning again.

These days, I’m learning to live slowly, write honestly, and trust the timeline.
